Welcome to Energy Corridor

The Energy Corridor refers to an area which runs along Interstate 10 from Kirkwood in the East to Barker Cypress Road in the West. The area got its name by the fact that many energy companies are based here including majors Shell and BP.

However, the actual Energy Corridor residential "market area" is to the south of this business district.

The area is extremely popular with Energy Industry employees wanting a short commute to work and still be close to all that Houston has to offer. The area is made up of leafy residential streets with older homes, some gated master-planned communities, and a great selection of apartments. Many employees also commute into this area daily.

SEARCH TIPS:

Zip 77077 is the defined Energy Corridor market area for residential homes.

Zip 77079 covers Memorial West (some think of this as Energy Corridor also). Memorial West is covered on a separate page on this website.

Lakes on Eldridge and Twin Lakes are not technically "Energy Corridor" but they are extremely popular with oil and gas employees. They are too the north of I10 on Eldridge.
